  • Changing velocities of multiple notes across multiple clips

Any ideas?
I would like to change the velocities of multiple notes in a clip without editing every note individually.
Also, is there a way I can select clips and edit velocities (or any other parameter for that matter) across all clips?
This was something I could do easily in Cubase over 10 years ago so I imagine the function is somewhere in Sonar, just can't seem to find it!
Thanks for any info

In Track view you could select all the clips you want to change and then "scale velocities"...To either specific values or a % or a scale from one value to another.

or *I think* select all the tracks in Piano View and use the draw velocity tool in there....

Theres a few ways of doing this basically.

Thanks.
It worked, but only after I converted my step sequencer clip (it is a drum pattern) to a midi clip, which I didn't want to do as when I convert it back again, the names of the drums have changed (not drastic, I know, but still messy)If I don't convert it, the option to scale velocity is greyed out in the Process menu
So, there's no way to give a kick drum the same velocity across notes and/or clips? Seems a bit of an obvious one.
Am I missing something?
Cheers

I cant help you here as I only use PRV for drums.

The Event Inspector allows you edit the attributes of multiple MIDI notes across multiple tracks, etc. Check out this video...

Thanks, this was a really helpful video. It still doesn't work on step sequencer clips though.
It does seem that there is no way to edit multiple notes in a step sequencer clip.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's a way to do it.

have you tried opening this up in PRV and clicking on the note you want to change the velocitys on ?
after clicking the note on the piano,it highlights every note/the perticuliar note, then grab one note with the smart tool and change the velocity.
it should change every note of the same key or the notes that are highlighted
