Forum members as mods? Unbiased? I don't care who you are, it will still be a pecking order issue. It always has and will be that way.

There is always that possibility but maybe those that are asked to be mods would have to agree to take it seriously and it would be up to the forum if it didn't work out.  If a mod got too many legitimate complaints their mod status could be removed. I think it could work with the right safeguards. CW does a decent job of moderating except on weekends and at night. Thats is when the trouble often starts with selling of shoes and a few trolls appearing.

I think if problems could be nipped in the bud sorta speak, it could be a good way to keep the forum going.

I think its worth a try.

It would only work if there were a record of the original unedited post for Cakewalk to view to keep the mod in check.

I just wanted to add that I have had absolutely zero problems with X1 or X2 either.

Same for me....Really solid here.

I'm perfectly happy with the Cakewalk forum Moderation efforts as they presently exist.
There are already Cakewalk Forum TOS in place and we agree to abide by them when we sign up. It's up to us individually to remember that and that should be the end of it.

wo this thread is very long on stabbing back and forth '
when the focus should be the fact that a thread called X2 is rock solid has  caused so much resentment.
here a fact about sonar stability.
i run a high end rig with many tracks , with great low latency
tons of ram, cores, and trans rate screamin.sonar works but cracks drops and fights along the way. FOR ME AT THIS TIME?
my buddy is running sonar x2 with his getto, dirty old. soundblaster.
slow as grandma's walker system, on  a vista 32 bit rig.
2 days of recording synths and guitar for him, it was my dream come true workflow with out a drop of issue's in 2 10 hours sessions.
im as confused as the plot of this thread.
i love you guys eather way, this thread got rid of my hangover, with coffee and asprin.

I was just browsing the forum, and there really seems to be a lot of negativity regarding X2 & X2a. I just want to throw out there that I recently built a new 64bit desktop computer based on Window 7 & Sonar X2a, and I have not enjoyed this kind of stability since 8.5.3. Since I installed X2, I've not had a single crash. In fact, the only problem I've had is an issue with a 32 bit reverb plugin. Even that didn't cause a crash, just a bunch of noise. X1 was a complete disaster for me. A total waste of time and money. It never was solid for me. So trying X2 was a pretty big gamble for me. So I want to throw out some positivity to Cake. I'm a happy customer!

Same here. The only things that have happened is it sometimes just stops on playback. I believe that to be the audio drivers as it happens with Adobe Audition as well. I doesn't bother me much I think it is caused by other things kicking in such as Anti virus and Tune up facilities

X2a is great here.

X1d was as solid as a rock, too.

I had a crash for the first time in months today, when accidently selecting "previous plugin" from my Cakewalk A-300 PRO when the PC was in focus.  It's reproducible every time.  Restart Sonar, everything is fine.  So I won't do it again, it's hardly an issue..

X1d and X2a working extremely well here.
