the thing i like about this thread is everyone has been open, honest and constructive.(except post # 2-atleast explain a little something)
ive just read and took it all in,people having success but some small issues.
i think this also shows that a lot of other daws out there have problems as well and nothing is ever going to be perfect.
these programs are so complex, its next to impossible to release something and have it not have a few quirks.
all i can say i hope cake takes the constructive critisism and does something with it.

yeah... any prob i've had hasn't been a show-stopper at all.  i think there are always 5 ways you can do anything...  i've never been able to NOT do anything with sonar.... granted i might have had to find a workaround but what that has given me is better problem-solving skills to use on the next project and maybe a new way of doing something than i had originally envisioned that actually WORKED BETTER than the way i first tried.  amazing how that happens sometimes! ;)

Ya know what, I deleted my original response.

It's pretty clear who started this thread going in to the sewer if it ends up going there ... I really don't want to be associated with it.

@Beepster-in a recent post you mentioned you don't recognize this place, although you haven't been here that long you have been on a lot. Beepster, this is what angers me.

Edit: Sorry. Need sleep. Brain go floppy. ;-)

Wait... are you trying to pick yet another fight with me about my post count? Do ever actually READ some of my posts? A huge pile of them are answering questions for new guys to pay back the forum for all the help I've been given. The others are mostly me trying to learn about the software myself. Isn't that what this place is for? If I bother you that much just bloody well block me already. Cripes. Talk about negative.
Don't let him get to you Beepster. You've helped a lot of people here on this forum. There's nothing wrong with your post count ... it just shows you care.

Ok... sorry about that. I just wasn't sure what you were getting at considering some of our previous interactions. Cheers.

Cripes? Beepser, are you British? If so, shouldn't it be crikey? ;-)

As far as X2 goes, I can't believe all the problems I've been having with it. It almost never crashes, you can add tons of plug-ins and it still keeps chuggin, it sounds amazing and it still won't help me locate fish. Honestly, if this keeps up I'll have to stop trying to fish with it and make some music.

On a serious note, just use 64bit plugs with 64bit Sonar and it works great.
