Use it some more...

Is that really neccessary?

some people, like myself included share this feeling.
if you dont, then im sure you could state your issues on this thread or maybe another thread.
but in a constructive way would be nice.

how would you like it if you started a thread with some issues you were having and someone replied, learn how to use your sonar.
how would that be?

because thats pretty much what your saying here. "use it some more" as if he isnt using it properly or enough?

you see the negetivity he is talking about in his post, are people like you.
when someone is trying to share a positive experience.someone unhappy feels as if everone else needs to be as miserable as them.

sharing concern is one thing, because i can agree with concerns,flaming...thats another story.
I PUT AWAY MY FLAMTHROWER,honestly he saying x1 was not solid bring the fact that after i figured out.
 the right way to install,
clean install and ajustment to windows
all the settings including buffers and so on x1 was mint.
but seems the same setting might not be so solid, and everyone has differnt rigs so some take more config
i mean realy just think of the specs of a duel core laptop to a I.7 or AMD 6 core with 16 gigs or ram in full 64.there are lots of variables so this tells me ya i can run sonar on my laptop record 4-5 tracks 3-4 plugs till it lags, have a basic setup with good sound card and its a no brainer sonar x2 is solid, iv seen it.
but build a custom rig with 3 midi devices 4 usb 10 or more channel sound card with racks of FX and the kitchen sink, guess what it takes alot of work to build your dream daw and have it run 20 live track as i record.

I truly believe that positive threads are very important.
When I was shopping for a new audio interface, my first choice was the TC Electronics Konnekt 48. Before a purchase I've made a habit of checking out the user forums to see if there were many complaints. I ended up going Focusrite instead of TC due to complaints about the pots failing.
I'm not lying about my positive experience with X2.
I would highly doubt that Cakewalk would have there software fail on every system that they tested it on and release it to the public anyway.
I'm sure there are plenty of users not having issues using X2.

I would think that we would want to expand Sonar's user base. The more success Cakewalk has the more resources they have to make it even better.

This forum has helped a lot of users with issues . If you have an issue and want help with it you should look here. I even think you should come here to **** & moan sometimes. But to watch the same people come in here and try to derail every positive thread, its getting very annoying.

I would like to have the forum divided into a couple of sections. 1) General discussion 2) Community Support

I enjoy learning more about the software and don't mind hearing about roadblocks and solutions or that there are no solutions. However, I would probably spend 90% of my time on the Community Support forum if it existed.

Right now we have a mix of coffee house, general discussion and community support. It's a mess.

Hello again, Looks like my thread reared an ugly head over the past couple days... I don't mind though. Like I said before, I could not get X1 stable no matter what I did. Including re formats, re installs, and Tech support. That kind of thing leaves a pretty bitter taste in your mouth. Sometimes you just gotta vent... I think we've all been there. When you come on this forum, there are a lot of people who truly do want to help and mean well. But I think it's a tough pill to swallow when they're telling you to repeat things you've already done several times. i.e reformat & reinstall. At that point it only takes one guy to insinuate that you're an idiot because you can't get your rig running, and you fly off the handle. Thankfully, I've been able to keep quiet in that situation. But like I said, I get it if some people need to vent.

I just wanted to add that I have had absolutely zero problems with X1 or X2 either.

Whats wrong in thread like this in just saying "good for you OP"?

Do we have to make a smart remark? And do really need to have this many posts debating the merits of the that smart remark?

Yes everyone has a right to express an opinion but do we always have to?
