the settings for rescan failed plugins usually combats this problem you are having,just as long as the scan is finding the plug in.

Halleluyah!  By the issue of AmpliTubeXGear I got a clue of fault "file copy rights" or so, and so went to see directory properties. There was something funny happened .... for the rights.  I could not suspect that because I as a user belong to Administrators group. Anyway you guess the rest: I got SD2 workin'  so far. And AmpliTube plugin too! It might be the 2a patch still ...
