Yep, I concur with most everyone on this - it's a very nice ambient textural thing with enough twists to keep it interesting all the way through. My only thought was, if you don't already have it, you *need* to get the Ohmboyz delay....I'm addicted to that thing, and it's perfect for stuff like this.

Great Stuff John, I like it.  The strings are better in this track probably because they are further in the mix.  I like the staccato strings and the middle.  Oh and the final kicker at 4:28.

Good Stuff

Full sounding on the monitors.  As always for me I start to lose concentration about 3 minutes in on all tunes, unless there are vocals OR they are showing a video to go along with the tune.  The music and changes are really nice.  They are, well,.......very furry!  you really should put this to a video track.   i listened to a song that really kind of put me in the same mood (Guru Ram Das) but it had beautiful videos/slides going on.  it saved me after my heart surgery when I had panic attacks. I'd listen at 3 in the morning with the lights off and just the video. I got the same vibe from this though it is different.  That's a good thing John!  Here's the link, buddy.  Comparing your feeling on that song to this is meant to be a great compliment.  Get that video done.

Awesomely immersive. I had to crank this one up. The only thing missing is NatGeo grade video, but you don't really need it, because the music does such a fine job of conjuring up the visuals. My mental big screen loves it.
That violin bit at 4:20 is odd, but it grows on you.
You say you don't know what you are doing, but I respectfully disagree. This is a powerfully cinematic piece.

John,

This would be a very good piece for a soundtrack.  Lot of interesting transitions and elements of tranquility, drama, soaring victory, etc...  Well done.

Regards
