it would be nice to be able to save and load presets in the PC-module, like you can in the VST-version

otherwise; nice update :)

Can anyone tell me how to get this program in X2?

Results? Does it sound much different from the older version? How about sharp transients: the old plug had some trouble with that sometimes.

I believe a real vintage hardware LA2A will have problems with sharp transients (depends on what you mean by "problems"). It's not a fast comp.

This install does a few strange things.
Even though my registry is set like this:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\VSTPlugins]

"InstallDirectory"="G:\\VST-64\\Cakewalk"

the install does not ask for a location, instead it just creates a new one at:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins\

That is for the 64-bit install, the 32-bit goes in the x86 Program files folder.

Before I registered it, I moved the 32-bit and 64-bit plug-ins to my 32-bit and 64-bit plug-in folder manually and then registered it in Live 8 (32-bit) and Live 9 (64-bit) before running it in Sonar.

It also renames your older files to:

PC2ALevelingAmplifier_64.old

good to know arachnaut. I had to go switch it out of my current projects and replace it with the new version.
