  • why sometimes automation doesnt just copy-paste simply?? (p.2)

Weird. As I said I never really worked much with automation in X1, especially MIDI automation. Can you try doing a range select over the automation then doing a Ctrl + Drag move to see if that'll do it?

And if it's a bug maybe after you paste the automation to destination paste it again where it was originally as the automation should still be on the clipboard. Pain in the butt for sure but it might be a workaround. Cheers.

???

I thought you said it was a MIDI track? Are you trying to paste MIDI automation into an audio track? I don't know how that would work if it's even possible or why you would try to.

I'm very confused now. :-/

I think you are going to have to describe in detail exactly what you are trying to accomplish including as much detail about what type of automation you are trying to copy and to where.

Now it worked selecting one by one all the elbows...!

Okay... so you got it to work once. Write down what you did specifically. Save the project and close it then reopen it (maybe Sonar needs a restart) then keep trying what you did and variations of what you may have done to see if you can get it to work again. If you can't get it to work open a new project and set it up in a way that you can try to do this same type of automation copy/paste move to see if it works.

The reason I say this is because it may be a corrupted project being buggy. Might be time to take a look into X2 now as well. Despite all the horror stories on here it's not as bad as people make it out to be and automation is a WHOLE lot easier to deal with.

Cheers and good luck.

Also try increasing your audio buffers. Your system isn't low power but it's not a powerhouse either so X1 (which is a resource hog) might be getting confused as you try to edit. I had many problems on my system trying to edit with X1 at low buffer setting and my system IS a powerhouse. Might be worth a try anyway.
