Thanks guys, I will give the clean install a go first, setting up all my settings is much better than losing all my projects!! If this doesnt fix then tech support and try the Visual C++ update, even though I have no idea how to do this. I was so happy with X2 up until now, other than tiny little glitches I have had no problems at all. But this one I am not completelly sure that it is a bug in Sonar so it could be the Visual C++. I will report back wiht my findings tonight.

Clean install is ok but I think you should also report the issue to Cake, or they won't be able to identify the cause and some unlucky chap who never visits here might suffer next...

I did a complete reinstall and everything seems to be perfectly fine again. Thanks so much for the help, I have no idea what the problem was and the new project that I started last night that seemed to start the problems has vanished as well, only the folder remains. Copying and special pasting has never felt so good.
