Just getting set up with SONAR X! Prod 64 bit. I dl'd my copy of Dim Pro 1.5, but when I tried to install it, it said it had a corrupt file. I have emailed requesting a reopen of the download for me, but I will; have to wait for a reply over time zones etc. So, in haste, I installed Dim Pro 1.1 from the DVD. But when I tried to use it, it said it had failed and may not be properly installed. Should DP 1.1 be able to run in 64 bit, or am I wasting my time? Thanks for any help

If you cannot d/l DimPro 1.5 from the CW store and the link should be there with the rest of the X1 files, you should also be able patch your original DimPro from the support page. http://www.cakewalk.com/S...uct.aspx/Dimension-Pro

You will need to apply a couple of patches to get to 1.5.

Thanks for the reply. For some reason known only to CW, they have deleted the link for Dim pro 1.5 on my store page. Other links are there, but not that one. I had to request a special emailed link to download. I am not sure I understand. Firstly, my question remains. Can I use Dim Pro 1.1 under 64 bit SONAR? If not then I am wasting my time trying to install it. That message me simply be because it will not run. Second, I have Dim Pro 1.1 on DVD. Why would I download it? It _installed_ fine (or seemed to) but just won't work. I thought I could install 1.5 straight on to 1.1, or even just install the "upgrade", which AFAIK is a complete programme anyway.

IIRC, the 1.2 patch was the first 64bit DXi version of DimPro. If that is the case the original version was a 32bit DXi which will not run on 64bit X1. You would need to install your original DVD however if you wanted to apply the patches from the support page. FWIW 64bit DXi version is no longer part of DimPro as it was replaced the a 64bit VST version in a latter patch. All of the patches are at the support page. If you apply the patches through 1.5 you will be current with the DimPro version supplied with X1/X2.

Oh for...why on Earth did CW not just tell me that? I dl'd 3GB of data and it failed. With your idea I dl'd about 13MB and it worked. So thanks and Sheesh! Bah!

Glad you got it going.

If you want them, the basic install does not include the expansion packs or, if you had SONAR 8.x, the extra DimPro content on the Additional Content disk.

The expansion packs are included with X1 as a separate file 04_Dimension_Pro_1.5_Expansion_Packs.zip. They are also available from the support link above.

The additional content included with SONAR 8.x is only available on the Additional Content disks included with those versions of SONAR.

Thanks mate! I saw those expansion packs and grabbed them on the off-chance. I also purchased the EMU stuff quite some time back and I am looking forward to playing with them. Really appreciate your saving me a lot of hassle.

Just for the record, the 1.2 patch did _not_ offer a 64-bit version. The 1.2 patch and the 1.5 patch were the only ones available for Windose, and the 1,5 was the first to offer 32/64 bit installs. There was an OSX 1.x in between, for the Mac. As I say, just FYI.

Interesting, the update page http://www.cakewalk.com/S...kb/reader.aspx/2005302 indicates a 64bit DXi is available. Things must have changed since 2009 when the page was written.

hmmm...as I said, 1.2 did not offer 64 bit version when I installed. When I installed 1.5, it did offer the 64 bit version, but no DXI. The readme definitely says discontinued DXI support.
