Hi, I'm wondering if this is possible, because if it is, I have yet to figure it out. I can run 4 monitors from my DAW. Right now I'm using 3 of them, and I'd like to add a 4th, but use it with a long cable over on the other side of my room, near where my keyboards are. I'd like to be able to use it for remote monitoring while tracking keyboard (or drum) parts, displaying things like the time, fader levels (useful when I'm trying to get gain levels when setting up drums when I'm completely by myself), notation, etc... At this point though, I need to move whatever UI elements over manually and set up a separate screenset with the items moved over. In an ideal world, I'd like to be able to duplicate certain items and build permanent screensets with the data in both places. That way I can also monitor/control while I am playing my drums and someone else might be playing keyboards.

I can already duplicate the controls using a bluetooth keyboard or a Korg NanoKontrol (or my Ipad when it's not being used for something else). But I'd really like to set something up permanently on the display-side if at all possible. Is this something that can be done? I'm using X2a Producer on Win7 64bit.

I use a three monitor set up and occasionaly use it for similar purposes.

If I were you I'd take a look at monitor control software. I use DisplayfusionPro. There is a free slightly restricted version but the lifetime upgrade is cheap enough. I can't remember if the mirror function is enabled in the restricted version or not but you can Mirror a window to a different monitor. Basically that just duplicates a window for you.

Mirror monitor is also there but on my system it's too sluggish to be of any real use but mygraphics cards are nothing fancy HD5450s with 1 GB of memory each.

You can of course drag views across but I suspect the mirror window may work better for you.
