At least it is sorted out now. Thanks for posting the image of your config, that help with the suggested fix. FYI, should the native ASIO driver gives you any trouble, try using SONAR in WDM mode before resorting to ASIO4All. All the ASIO4All software does is wrap the WDM driver and present it to the host as an ASIO driver.

What properties are you referring to? Also why are you using ASIO4all?

so it was a driver issue,
there is no reason to be using asio4all here,
you should be using the drivers for your soundcard.asio or WDM.
hence the reason you were needing to open up preferences everytime you opened up sonar(a driver conflict)

what i ment by lookig at your master fader was,if you see under your master fader it will typicaly have your input/outputs and your outputs would have been labeled asio4all or there would have been nothing there or sometimes sonar gives a warning apon opening"there are no audio outputs" message.

either way glad its sorted,i would go to AVID and download the latest drivers for your soundcard.
keep up on them.
