Hello All-

I am trying to figure out how to use the patterns in SI-Bass Guitar. The Reference Guide pdf says use online help. I can't find anything at all in online help. Any leads appreciated.

There is a windows help file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments\SI-Bass Guitar\Documentation\SI-Bass Guitar.chm"

Thanks- Still can't get it to work, though. The instructions are not dumbed-down enough for me I guess.
In other synths I have used, you drag a pattern into a new midi track and it follows the chords as they occur in the original midi track. In this case, the pattern plays, but follows its own chord pattern... I have no idea where the notes are derived from.

If I drag the pattern into the pattern grid, the result if pretty much the same. The Bass ignores what I have written, and goes off on its own artistic path.

Any suggestions or further resources appreciated.

It occurs to me that maybe the pattern feature is not all that sophisticated...That it lays down a pattern, but it it up to me to move the notes around in the KBV to the actual notes I want...but then what use would the pattern windows serve? Can't edit notes there except through 'Transpose'. Hmmmmm.

Don't expect too much from the patterns. Ultimately, I believe the PRV will prove your best MIDI editor for the SI instruments. Here is the Youtube intro to SI-Bass Guitar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmQT534K3VE

Now I see...Yes, one needs to "Transpose" the pattern to make it "Fit the song", as per the video below. I don't think I'll be using the patterns much, but they might give me some ideas. I need to take a look at the actual bass sounds now. Thanks, Scook.
