Well it's been a little over 9 months now since I first installed Sonar and joined the forum. Keeping with the "thank you" theme that's going on lately I thought I'd join in especially considering today is the day I am officially revoking my "Beginner's" status and upgrading myself to "Intermediate". I just finished watching a full mixing tut on Groove3 that employs Sonar and completely understood everything done and know I could do it all myself with relative ease. Add to that all the endless hours I've spent here and poking at the manual, X1 Power, Sonar University, etc while testing things out manually on my DAW and other hardware I think I can confidently say that I know how everything works at an intermediate level. Obviously I've got a LOT more to learn (there is always more) but I will be able to pretty much accomplish all of my current production goals.

I could not have done ANY of this without the forum and the specific help of some of the generous friends I have made here. Thank you and I hope I can continue to pay it forward. You guys rock.

Now I'm gonna scope out the next Groove3 series I'm going wail into. Probably X2 Explained just to trawl for features and tricks I may have missed so far. Cheers.

Yes Beep but then out comes the next version and it all starts again.

Watching you has made me a little jealous that you have such a mind that you can learn this stuff so quickly. It took me years and I have never stopped learning.

One thing you have in abundance is focus. I thank you for being here.

scook, Scott and John... You guys are some of the few who really went out of your way to get me on my feet with stuff and it is more than appreciated. I'm sure it was probably a little funny watching me flail about about in the early days. Sometimes I see my old threads and just shake my head. lol

Thanks, guys. ;-)

Congratulations on your promotion Beep.

I figure it will take me years to master X2 and all the bells and whistles that came with it. They will be most enjoyable years.

I should have added that promotion is well earned!

Heh. Thanks, guys... and I didn't find the transition from X1 to X2 very painful at all. In fact X2 made my life a whole heck of a lot easier so I'm not too worried about what's coming down the pipe. I may just stick with X2 for a while though. I don't see me needing much more any time soon. Cheers.
