Loved this one and I love what Cakewalk has done in this upgrade. There are so many small tweaks and fixes that just makes Sonar feel more "right" than before.

It's been one of the best efforts that Cakewalk have made in responding extremely well to requests for informative media, both via blogging and video, since the release of X1.

The information has gone from short feature blurbs with previous releases to useful and in depth content and techniques which has certainly, at least in my case, made me a much happier customer and has proven useful in showing others Cakewalk's customer focused side and not just express Sonar's functions in a bullet point lists of features.

Keep up the great work.

When I do as you outlined the small icon appear once you already have the large one inserted. Great video Seth  and FREE.

Great video, my hats off to Brandon and Seth.  I do have a quick question on the video. I noticed on this video that the instrument icon is next to the track # on the first line. I've made the track icons small and they appear on the second line. The icon next to the track # on the first line appears to be a midi/piano icon. It doesn't matter whether they are grouped (i.e. SD3 midi group) or stand-alone track. When I go to view -> Icons -> Track View, I have "Show Icons", "Small Icons", "Show in Header" and "Show in Strip" all checked. How do I get the view like the video?

Very good video. This will probably make many non-sonar users become sonarites

Congratulatons. You have successfully produced an X2 video that will not only help your users get up to speed very quickly, but will also legitimize Sonar to many who don't currently use the program.

To me, the ultimate recording program is one that facilitates my creative side, while not forcing me to use my "Left Brain" too much. The improvements present in X2 make it easier than ever to create music, without getting bogged down in the manipulation of the program itself.

Pretty much everything featured in the video will make my life easier. I was going to wait until later to upgrade from X1 to X2, but not now. Your video was just what I needed. Thanks.

The video was great. Loved the new improvements to the aim assistant. The take lanes look to be just what I wanted! I can record in what layer I want!! Yes!! Copy and paste automation from track to buss!! All this and much much more! Great job! Great job!!

this should be mandatory viewing before a download link is accesible.

It would save so many questions on the forum.

You guys have really planned this release very well. thanks.

I think this is an excellent example of listening to your users and learning from past mistakes.  The X1 rollout seemed to leave a lot of us with a kinda "what tha...?" attitude, because everything had moved and there were few clues about where it went.  Having this video available within the first couple days of release was very refreshing.  It made everything make sense a lot earlier.
