HI i'm fairly new to this stuff. About a year ago I purchased Sonar version 8 (I upgraded it from 7). Version 7 worked great for me (no issues whatsoever). After installing version 8 I uploaded a track to it and played it back...Upon doing so I got a lot of hissing,static type crap, etc. Is it my speakers? Is is the soundcard? Someone mentioned driver issues (may as well be speaking asian). I don't understand why the issues. I have Windows vista computer if that helps. 
  

 
I'm trying to do this right with good quality so any suggestions are welcomed.

If you have two versions of Sonar installed and one works better than the other, then probably some of the settings are different.  Check the global and audio settings in v7 and see if any of them are different in v8.

By the way, it's normally best not to post several unrelated questions in one single thread.  It can get confusing if there are lot of replies.
