I'm doing a DAW rebuild and wondering if there's a simple chart of what new instruments and plugins were attached with which version of SONAR. that way I could just load up the ones I need for projects.

I've never found a list.
The last time I did this I went through all my packaged purchases and got the details by running the installer and seeing what was available then cancelling the installation. What a drag that was. shame I didn't make a list then hey! Sorry about that!

I think wicked meant what plugins came with all the various (previous and current) version of SONAR.

many of us have versions that go back 15 years or more and there was usually a plugin or 2 exclusive to that particular years release.

When you do a system rebuild and have to install from scratch it's a pain working out which of the old plugins came with which version of SONAR. eg VSampler was a terrific sample player/ synth  - it came as a DXi version with SONAR 3 Producer and you got an upgrade code as part of the SONAR package that let you download the VST version I think (if I remember correctly) just as an example.

In recent years we've has guitar sims like Amplitube 3 and Guitar Rig 4 as LE versions etc.

Sonitus suite dates to SONAR 3, as does the Pantheon

V-Vocal, PerfectSpace, Pentagon, Session Drummer and Groove Synth arrived with SONAR 5

Vintage Channel was new in SONAR 6

SONAR 7 added Boost11, Rapture, Z3ta+ and LP-64

Dim Pro became part of the Producer bundle at SONAR 8, which also added the TL-64 leveler, TS-64 transient shaper, Channel Tools and Guitar Rig.

8.5 added the percussion strip, vocal strip, and a bunch of older plugins from Project 5 (Alias Factor, HF Exciter, Studioverb and a couple others)

X1 added no new plugins, AFAIK. Just ProChannel.

X2 added R-Mix, full Rapture and Breverb

Thanks! The two I'm trying to find are Pentagon and SD2.

I do have Pentagon installed, but for some reason it's not connecting with projects it's installed on. I think I only have the DXi version installed so I'm looking to see if a version put it on as a VSTi.

And SD2, I've got SD1 and SD3 but again, some projects have SD2 when I replace the synth with v3 I'm not getting the kits to load.

Ugh upgrading...don't even get me started on 64-bit. I had to scrap those plans temporarily until I can revive all my old projects from the dead. This falls squarely under a billion previous rants of mine that went something like "better asset mgmt tools please!"

Amplitube 2 came with Sonar 6, if that's any help.

Pentagon was only bundled as a DXi there is a VST version but that is sold separately.
