Well I liked it, but here's some constructive observations from my POV.

1. It seems fairly well mixed.

2. The lead vocal is "pushed" a bit too hard in places. Not saying the volume, but the performance. Sometimes less is more. i.e., it feels to me as if it's being yelled in places rather than sung. (no disrespect)

2. For Kristi's BGV, they were good for the most part, but I would pull some vibrato off in places, and tune her a bit in others.

3. Reece, you continue to improve as a singer, good job.

thanks for listening and commenting "H" Robbie...

I appreciate it very much. I agree that Sean's vox are pushing it too some.  we had worked on that some and brought it back from what he originally did, but I agree it could use a little more.

noted on Kristi's BGVs

thanks for the good words on my improvements.  I will continue to try to improve until I am singing with the angels!

Jablowmi19 - As the singer, I agree. The problem was that I settled on a key that was a bit high for me. But it's also my inexperience as a singer. I'm really not sure how to hit some of those high notes withing yelling. I'll keep working on it though. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

It gets harder and harder to sing high... It takes on a whole new meaning for me at this point? I fear I'll never do another Van Halen cover w/Markno999 :-( But? We can settle in to the mellow? I haven't recorded anything "for months." :-( But it's been fun practicing chops? :-) Maybe this weekend will see the start of a new project. The performances on this one were quite good, I don't mean to disparage. But I always try to give an honest opinion. (it's the best policy.)

Hi Reece, sorry I haven't had a listen, you know I'm not much of religious man.  More power to you though because of your beliefs.  Nice job, the mix is a little thin though.

Peace Ben

Vocals were great (especially the harmony at the end) and the song was nice but the drums killed it for me.
Much too busy in certain spots and the heavy snare just didn't sound right to my ears.

An a capella version would be killer.

Hey Ben, thanks for listening.  I have no expectations regarding your theology as a requirement to listen and comment!

Tom - thanks  for listening and commenting.  sorry the drums weren't what you thought they should be.  the snare in particular, eh?  I'll listen again, but this one might be called "done."  no harm in checking again, tho.  it's always good to go back after a while and see what if it still sounds like you think it did!  appreciate your time and comments!
a full blown A Cappella version would be killer, eh?  food for thought!

Reece, I try to get tracks as clean as yours, but I guess I still have a lot to learn. Each track is so pristine, I know that makes mixing a lot easier. Performances are spot on, and I love Herb's lead guitar tone. But I sure envy your studio skills.
