We Cakewalk employees have pretty fragile feelings and there are secret beta testers among you that work really hard to help us release solid products.  It''s cool to vent, but please be respectful while doing so.

I've logged this issue.  Fortunately, it's only a UI problem.  Events do snap to the correct location.  The Aim Assist report is just a few ticks off, and that is a bug we'll try to address.

Thanks.

I meant no disrespect, but your response kinda proves my point, no?
I'm not sure why Bill's response proves your point that sonar is "as buggy as s##t", or that "they don't venture into this forum" or that it's not your job to fill out bug reports..

So, no..

jb- it's not the end users job to file bug reports. We are not getting paid for it.

There is a cluster of minor bugs associated with snap and aim assist(in my opinion). Cakewalk should sort it out because it is a salient feature and quite obvious to anyone who uses the program even casually.

Shouldn't get too precious about internet criticism either.

Well as long as it's getting fixed I'm happy. I always wonder how these quite obvious bugs don't get noticed during development however. I'm not having a go at Cakewalk in particular, I notice these kinds of things in most commercial software. I still see stupid bugs in MS Outlook that I noticed as long ago as 2007.

Having said that I used to paint houses for a living. And no matter how careful we thought we were being, we'd nearly always get called back by the punter to touch up something we couldn't believe we'd missed the first time around.

You're right, backwoods, it's not.  That was not my intention.  I understand the issues as someone who uses the program at least casually.

I was merely begging the question of how Bill's response proved jamesyoy's point.

Sorry if I have misunderstood.

Don't be a wiseguy...I said it was the Aim Assist was buggy, somehow got reprimanded for saying it, and then CW guy said it was buggy. I have been using Sonar since ver 6. I have been through all the previous versions' bugs. For ANYONE to say I can't express some mild dissatisfaction with the current bugged-out version of a product I have supported, and exclusively used, for years needs a remedial course on the principles of the seller/buyer dynamic.

I had  no intention of telling you what you could or could not say.  I pointed out that I did not see the connection between Bill's post and your response.  Who  reprimanded you about pointing out a bug?  It certainly wasn't me.  I think someone took issue with how you stated it.  Again, not me.

What is it with you people?  And as for "Wiseguy"..  well..
