I cannot read much into it without some clarity from the OP. Is the qualifier because it asks about other DAWs or because of a reaction to a few wacky threads or what? It can be read a few ways. Why take it negatively?

I think this thread is in poor taste and you should be ashamed of yourself for starting it.

Dude, I wasn't referring to anyone in particular as we're all guilty of being jerkos sometimes.  I was just referring to the overall tone of the forums lately.

I was just referring how Jorel felt the need to preface his question with "don't mean to offend anyone" and the overall abundance of venom being spewed in the forum lately.  Seems tempers have been flaring out of control (self included) lately.  Must be a full moon tonight.

I just credited him with being sensitive to the feelings of others in bringing up the subject of other Daws on the Sonar forum. Perhaps he thought it may not go down well

We're not just here to spout off how pretty Sonar is and how awesome it works. That's not the point of this forum ... it's here for open discussion, debate, to seek help for problems, to speak praise of Sonar, to talk about it's problems, all of it. The forum doesn't belong to a handful of sycophants telling people what to they can and can't say all the time.

I've got in to heated debates ... but one thing you will never hear from me is, "You can't say that."

That's bull$hit and Cakewalk should send a message that it's not tolerated.

And yes, it is a shame that Jorel felt that way. It just goes to show how concerned people are about speaking their mind about Sonar, they're scared to death if they say something that may be seen as negative against Cakewalk or Sonar that a certain group of people will come swooping down and jump them.

You're absolutely right, it was terrible. I was thinking the same thing, and almost said something ... but then I'd be in your position right now ... better duck ... it's coming.
