Hey Chuck ... not sure what to say man.

You posted on a public forum, I thought I knew you well enough to where I could respond to you ... but you melted down bro, so apparently I was wrong.

You need to chill out.

And I have to be honest with ya, you're command of the English language ain't exactly up to par bro. It's sometimes hard to interpret what you mean ... I could point you to a thread ... but who cares?

Who ****ing cares?

It's a forum ... quit complaining and go make some music. You're good at it.

I'm not mad at you ... I'm not mad at anyone here ... I speak my mind, if you don't like it ... block me. It's that simple.

I just realized I've WASTED a 1/2 hour reading a lot of snarky drivel and arrogant whining. What did I learn? Nothing!! And I'll never get that 1/2 hour back ... what I waste. But for that I only have myself to blame. (So it's back to work - bye y'all.)

Oh my ... I have just gone through all this posts, and I only can say.. what a childish bashing of people is taken place here. Unbelievable! Is this the same great forum I visited regularly a while ago? Well - all I can say it looks like all those Sonar bashers finally get what they wanted. With Seth now leaving (and who knows more) and a lot of others going to Roland it seems all that negative input finally has taken its toll. Great job guys! I was already visiting less and less here, and this is a prime example from what drove me away..

I think comments were more "positive" about X2 than X1 because by X2 people had gotten used to the skylight system.  It doesn't mean that X1 was more buggy than X2.  I'd say the bugs of X2 are far more disappointing.  I'm just hoping cake will fix X2 for us Win7 users.

I'm afraid I disagree. For me, and many other users, X1 was completely unusable right up until the X1c patch was released.

X2, whilst it does have a number of bugs, was working straight out of the box.

The demo even worked on my machine without any key issues that became apparent during the trial period.  It certainly worked well enough to be able to identify some of the same loose screws that 8.5 has and even well enough to decide there wasn't anything compelling enough to make a purchase just yet.

I'm glad you posted this Jon. There seems to be a widely held belief that 8.5 was completely stable and totally bug free.

That wasn't the case and I lost a fair bit of stuff due to random crahses, BSOD's and suchlike.

It's the trauma of X1 what did it.....

What an interesting read. I wish I could bring something to the party but everything appears to be pretty well covered.

Did you update your drivers? Firmware? Reinstall Windows XP? Reinstall Sonar?

8.5 worked fine here. No crashes.
