I think you expect too much from the current forum crop to think that they possess the necessary ability to reason on such things.
How could when the article was written have a bearing on the meaning of the words.
Wonder how many will come back to apologise for speaking/writing before they've ascertained the actual facts.

Admittedly, it is difficult to reason people out of positions they didn't use reason to attain. And discussions would be more meaningful if they were conducted with people who live in fact-based worlds. But, that's life. Just to put things in perspective, it's not like I'm dealing with brutal dictators slaughtering innocent civilians, or scam artists preying on 93-year-old widows. It could be a whole lot worse.

"i meant live gigging"

Thanks you, Glenn.
I asked because i use Sonar for live recording.
I am not totally confident with X2, so i use X1d for recording and X2a for mixing.

It is sure that for gigging i would use 8.53 (sometimes i wonder if i would reinstall it, even for recording, because of the issue i have with the display of the peak markers in the clip pane while recording, inter alia).

And on the bright side, think about it...the thread title says "Electronic Musician," so that's a nice plug for the mag right there. Then if people read the posts, they find out why non-clueless people judge my articles as credible.

As the old saying goes..."I don't care what you say, just spell my name right." And, credit where credit is due: The OP did in fact spell "Electronic Musician" correctly.

I might bump this thread tomorrow just to give the mag some more plugs. Cool! And there's a bonus: When people see my sig, some of them subscribe to my YouTube channel. You gotta know how to leverage publicity

Was X2 a smoother rollout than X1? Absolutely, by a huge margin
Was X2 a smoother rollout than 8.5? Yep. 8.5 didn't get together properly until 8.5.3
Was X2 a smoother rollout than 8? Yep - 8 was buggy as hell for a long time

Yep, X2 has been a love fest compared to X1 and 8.
