Is it possible to assign one envelope to several different parameters like on a synth, eq, reverb, etc all at the same time with one envelope?

I know bidule can do this, but i was wanting to do it in cakewalk proper without adding another layer.

You could select it, copy it and paste it where you want. That would give the the same values for another envelope type.

I want ot tweak the one envelope and hear how it changes the multiple parameters all at once, so copying and pasting does not work for this.

Can you change multiple envelopes all at the same time, this could be work around.  Copy the envelope to every parameter you want and then tweak them all at the same time if it even is possible?

To change multiple envelopes at the same time just select the area you want to adjust on the lanes/tracks you want included and move one of them.

I just tested the multiple envelopes and selected them all and could move all at the same time if they each had a node, but if I wanted to add a node it woukd only add one node, so you would have to add a node to each envelope.

If your delaing with a lot of envelopes say seven, this is not ideal at all.

It would be great if you could assign the same envelope to multiple parameters and then be able to scale each one within a range.

AFAIK there isn't a way of adding nodes to multiple envelopes at the same time.

http://www.cakewalk.com/s...ct/featurerequest.aspx is the place to go.

Sounds good, if there is no way to do this, then it should be added in a future release.

Put an effect in a FX chain, assign multiple parameters to a knob in the FX chain, the automate the knob on the FX chain, this should get you what you want.
I have not tried this but it should work.

Another way that might work is to  group multiple parameters on the FX, then adjusting one of the parameters will affect the grouped controls. Right click on the parameters you want to group to add them to a group.

for copying automation the easiest thing to to in x2 is show automation lanes on a track.  press w to get to the beginning of the song.  click the lane you want to copy. hit ctrl+c, then right-click the automation envelope and assign it to the parameter you want to copy it to. then, ctrl+v paste the original automation back into the project.  kinda wonky but it works. :)
