can anyone tell me how to set a record length in measures for a track in sonar v2? i know its ancient but i'm broke!

Welcome to the forum.
Search 'punch-in recording' in the help files.
If it's not there, you probably can't do it.
Or you can just stop the recording when you're finished recording.
 
I probably completely misunderstood what you're trying to do.
How old is version 2?
