Just wondering, are the exe files in CCC full installers or just updates? That would include the addons as well as the core progeam. Thx

Hi. Every update is cumulative, so they all include full installers for the different releases.

There are a series of installers that make up a version of SONAR. Expand the SONAR Platinum item to see all the installers related to the product. The latest installer for each item in the Command Center is a complete installer not an update.
 
That said, installing only the latest installers will do just that...install the latest version of SONAR Platinum. There have been a few plug-ins discontinued since Platinum was introduced. For example, the original LPEQ and LPMB were dropped when the new versions were created.

As already stated they are full exe Files. You can download and install them using CCC or once CCC has finished the download, go to the CCC download folder, find a particular file and run it by double click as in any installation exe file.

CCC keeps a record of what is installed using it (CCC) and if any updates are available. At least at the moment.

Unless deleted CCC saves all the downloaded files. Use the Gear icon then the Paths tab on the CCC to show where your files are being saved. Unless you’re obsessive like me who has every single update since the beginning of Platinum you only need the latest version that you’re happy with.

Wow! Talk about customer service! Thanks everyone for chipping in. Altough I haven't posted often since the dos days I've been a daily visitor here and learned so much about sonar, recording and mastering. So much quality advice from many generous people. I realize that Cakewalk is only half the equation.....the other half is here on this forum.

I find it's was faster to go to my products page and download the files dirrectly from there. You don't have to sit and wait for CCC to load up after each download and you can be downloading multiple files at the same time with most BRowsers. And make sure you copy paste to a txt document all your serial numbers,, there are serials for a lot of the Cakewalk plug ins like Dim Pro. Without those you will not be able to install them in the future once CCC is gone.
