Thanks, Craig.  That's good to hear.

By the way, I read the other DAW columns on a regular basis because there are many tips that are applicable to all DAWs--just done with different functions or called by different names.  Plus, who knows: maybe one day I will be using Studio One or Cubase.

Thanks Craig.

Are you working on a new X2 video?

...  They rotate out columns a lot, but Sonar is actually one of the most consistent ones ...
That's telling isn't it.
SOS's eternal romance with Cubase means they'd never park that column, and the obscurer DAW tips columns are included regularly, but they feel they can park the Sonar one whenever they're strapped for a couple of pages of space.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, by consistent I meant consistently IN the magazine, not rotated out. I wouldn't exactly say Sonar gets preferential treatment, but the readers have made it clear they like having the column in there, so it has an excellent attendance record

As to being strapped for a couple pages, believe me, I can relate. There are NEVER enough pages in a magazine for all the stories that need to be covered. If my column gets left on the cutting room floor every now and then, I of all people understand!

Thanks Craig.

Are you working on a new X2 video?

At the moment, no. My life just got thrown a massive but very positive curve ball, and all video projects are on hold for now.

If there's one thing you can't accuse SOS of, it's an anti-Sonar bias. They've consistently reviewed Cakewalk stuff well and ran techniques features on CPA / Sonar for as long as I can recall (and I've bought it every month for about 15 years).

Would be cool if they would give us free stuff like computer music and beat magazines do. They don't even need to use a disc they can create a vault and give us all password protected accounts for light versions of synths and fx etc... They have better articles for sure than those other magazines which are never read very much because of all the fan boyism nonsense that they promote, people buy the zinnia version just to get the software and maybe read the ads.
