I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding the problems I was having with X2. Many thanks to those people who replied (I recall Beepster was one of them - Gid bless yer!) This video helped me out a lot:

I am sure a lot of people have seen this and in particular the comments but for those who havent, the main issue that was causing the problems for me was the LP plugins...once i got rid of those, everything was fine. I did remark in my previous post on whether my pc was under powered. It probably wasn't but in the meantime, I have upgraded my pc to an i7 with 16 gigs of ram and a new asus motherboard. I even did all the installation myself! It was easy! After that, the icing on the cake was geting an iilama prolite e2773hs monitor - 27inches. I still use my 19" LG monitor next to it (there are things that I like about dual monitors). But the new monitor, Ram,Motherboard/Processor has really given X2a a big boost. I am extremely happy with it. I now know which plugins to leave out in my mixing/recording.  Very satisfied...

Yes, thanks for the positive feedback.
I use X2a on a laptop from 2010 (so not actually up-to-date, i guess), and it is great for mixing, and stable (no major issues).
This almost old laptop is dedicated exclusively to Sonar, and i made a clean install of the OS (Win 7 / 64), the drivers, and Sonar (X1d + X2a).

YA I like this thread much better than that other one! Haven't made the jump to x2 yet but see no problems when I do. I always wait for the smoke to clear..

Hi,

I´m also very happy with X2.
Sadly I have too little time for making music and working with sonar (music is just my hobby - til now), but when I work with Sonar, I discover every time new things making me very pleased with it. Sonar X2 is also running with no problems here. I think it's a really good daw and I hope Cakewalk will make it better and better.
