"I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding the problems I was having with X2. Many thanks to those people who replied (I recall Beepster was one of them - Gid bless yer!)"

Yeah, you just have to remember not to track with look-ahead plugins (generally mastering plugs like the LP and convolution reverbs). Usually doesn't matter how fast your computer is.

I've come to regard X2 as the best mixing platform that CW has created, yet.  The console emulations and the ProChannel have elevated X2 a great deal.  I also very happy with the improvements to the PRV and smart tool.  In the time that it took a reel to reel tape recorder to rewind a 4 minute song from the end to the beginning, I can do a dozen things in X2, and I'm slower than many people.

Excellent and thank you. I have been becoming very disillusioned with the forum due to all the hateful squabbling lately. Taking the advice given and running with it to make things work for you is exactly what this place should be for. Happy tracking and if you stumble into any problems I'll try to help.

To everyone else... if I see willful ignorance, unwarranted personal attacks on other members, trolling or non stop hyperbolic complaints coming from a user I will not help or interact with them at all. That may not mean much to some as I'm not some ultra pro but I study this program non stop and I get better every day. It's time for this place to clean itself up and get back to what it's intended for. A peer to peer forum to help people make music using Sonar.

Seriously... the Beepster is not amused.

Sorry for the threadjack, Keano. I highly recommend you take a look at the Sonar videos at digifreq.com, the Sonar articles at sound on sound http://www.soundonsound.com/articles/Sonar.php and Fast Biker Boy's youtube page http://www.youtube.com/us...BikerBoy?feature=watch

Cheers.
