OK - I figured it out. I didn't realize 'scroll lock' was a physical key on my physical keyboard. I thought they were referring to a key binding. Very frustrating. I'm sure I accidentally hit something, but I've hit a wall trying to undo it!
I've found the options-click behavior-left click locks scroll. I've clicked it and uncliciked it and clicked all around the track view and the inspector and still nothing scrolls.
The help file is incredibly confusing:
If the various views are not updating during playback, make sure the SCROLL LOCK key on your computer keyboard is not enabled. For more information, see Synchronizing your gear. I have NO IDEA where the scroll lock key is. Is it labeled? When you go to "
Synchronizing your gear", as far as I can tell there's no mention of scrolling. I really don't know what the 'clips pane' is either? I suppose it's the area in track view with the clips but if that's it, then the left click thing isn't working.
I'm sure the fix is stupidly easy. But I guess I'm stupider than stupid. Help!!!
