Does X2/32 share an AUD.INI file with X2/64?

Do projects started with 32 bit X2 and using 32 bit versions of plugins opened in X2/64 load the 32 bit bitbridged plugins or will it load with 64 bit versions if they are on the system? How about the reverse situation?

Within a 64 bit project how can you tell a plugin is 32 bit or 64 bit if both are on the system (although I'm trying to keep 64 bit exclusive as much as possible)?

How big can the Picture Cache be? Currently I have it set at 1000 in the configuration file but I do some long project recordings and would rather not have to wait for all the time redrawing the picture files.

Thanks!

1. Not sure

2. 32 bit programs will open in 64 bit program but plugins will be spotty...seems different people have different issues with which 32 bit plugs will work in 64 bit systems. Bitbridge(part of Sonar already) and JBridge(try the demo and then purchase) are usefull for this issue..if I am incorrect here I am sure someone will chime in...

3. 32 bit plugs will appear with (32 bit) beside the plugin in the plugin menu I believe.

4. I have NO idea...

All I got for ya...good luck!

The aud.ini file is release-specific, meaning that a separate one exists for each release of Sonar installed on a given computer.

It lives in the Application Data folder for each user, in a sub-folder called Sonar X2 Producer within a Cakewalk folder, so on my system it lives in this folder:

C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR X2 Producer

I am unaware of a limit to the size of the picture cache (besides the maximum value of an integer). Keep in mind that it is not unusual to clear the cache contents every now and then so there is no reason to make it excessively large.

When you say "release specific" does that meant X2 32 and X2 64 share a common AUD.INI?

It's the USER folder location for some of these files that makes me feel a little confused about the difference in the 32 and 64 bit versions as far as settings might go.

I go from opening single song mix sessions to 2+ hour 16 track projects pretty frequently. It would be nice to not always have to re-draw every time I change projects. I guess I'll try 2000 and see what happens.

I do not have x32 Sonar on my computer, so I do not know for sure if there is one or are two aud.ini files if sharing x32 and x64 Sonar on a computer.

It seems though that there is a single folder for such things, so it would be my guess that there would only be a single such file on a system, no matter if there are both x32 and x64 Sonar present.
