A friend of the brother of Gibsons Head of IT told my wife's sister that they are currently uploading the final version of Sonar.

And how long should this take, realistically, an hour at most?

I fear the worst and feel sorry for all those people who haven't downloaded all of their installers yet

Gibson, you utter, complete bastards

Not working for me and my plan was to download and archive this morning. I have just checked and I have the last downloads from the CCC but I had not downloaded everything

Me too....started archiving last night (European time) as I wasn't running the latest version of Splat.
During download of the Manual/help files download got interrupted. I believe the other downloads are "in"
Also I was planning on reinstalling in order to get the offline authorization file.

Yu can still buy Cakwalk products frm 3rd parties, but yu'd need t download them. Surely they'd want this last bit of income before closing the servers

I think they were using the Microsoft Azure to host the installs and maybe they forgot to pay the bill...

I got to downloading just as soon as I realized Cakewalk was going under.
I spent several hours at home downloading as many setup files and instruments as possible, then went to work and set about downloading the rest to my work computer. Took me the best part of a day to get everything. So glad I did now. I'm sure I've missed something, like Rapture packs or some other add on, but I think I got all the important stuff, thank goodness.
It's pretty traumatic for users who put off installing every single feature of Sonar so as not to clog up their computers (such as me) to just be cut off from the products that they bought. Especially as many of these fx and plug-ins will work in other DAWs.
If (and I hope it is only an if) Gibson has pulled the plug on the servers, it's a really ****ty way to end a ****ty situation. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for a few days, and hope the servers come back on line.

well I bought a cheap 2nd computer Friday $300 Aud, it took me all Friday night and yesterday to install Sonar and everything else.....it failed when I selected install all, but installing each one individually I got everything installed, registererd etc....just before this morning when it seemed to be completely dead.....So as a cheap option, I can still use Sonar offline for another 4 years, or 2 new computers lifetimes!!!!
