I might have to try your solution Jbraner...

But I just realised you'll have to copy the good take from *each* mike (more complexity)

but i just wish that this all worked!!!!

Me too!

yeah man. it's gonna be a super PITA to do.. sigh.

haha. maybe I should just tell the musicians to play perfectly! then we wouldn't need take lanes!

haha true that. not as easy when you are recording bands in the studio. haha.

BUT I do wish that Sonar had a drum re-trigger-er

I just used a demo of drumagog 5 and it completely changed this mix i was working on! I should submit a suggestion to CW. it's actually SUPER useful..

i comp my tracks,i pick the best parts of each take then delete the un used stuff./ highlight the ones you need and bounce to clips.

yes I am familiar with comping tracks.. that was another thread actually.  how slicing doesnt seem to work in the take lanes...  gets buggy...

also. i have bounced all clips to one clip, however I like to keep my takes in the project until the very final mix, there may be something in there that i need. so if i am to do this with every recorded track we are talking about doubling my track listing from 60ish to 120ish? i dont think so. that's what take lanes are supposed to be for!
