I use the PX-64 Percussion Strip on every project.
You can suck the room right out of a snare and kick sample. It opens up an entire world of sounds on a single sample.
I use it extensively ... one thing to be aware of ... make sure your signal going in is hot enough. If you don't, it won't kick in some times. Especially after you adjust it, get it sounding sweet, close your project, and open it at another time. Sometimes it acts like it's turned off if the input signal isn't loud enough. What's odd about it is, you can bump up the input level, and lower it back down and it works fine, so I just got in the habit of leaving it up and reducing the output level if need be.
Not a big deal at all ... just remember to have the input meter hovering around 3/4 the way up.
This has happened to me on 2 different DAW's ever since I can remember using this VST, so I know it's not my system or sound card.
Like I said ...
no big deal at all. Just something to keep in mind.
