Hi all, after one month of attempts, today i tried to buy a CA2A update....but my card is not approved.Last week i have received a kind Cake support email that said that the problem with CC was resolved and now i could buy my update. I have tried immediatly but nothing....10 minutes after i have bought a samples pack by Loopmaster platform with the same CC on the same circuit and i have informed the Cake support. Now it has become a matter of principle, because for my many purchases not just one page in my account, and i require more help on a problem that is not mine and that also applies to other European customers. It 'possible that I can not buy only from the Cake store?? After last mail I no longer heard anyone. Please write on this thread if there are euro customers that are in the same boat.Best.

UK visa wasn't working for pretty much everyone. USA fine it seems. Cake seem to have their fingers in ears, just like with the forums software and monitoring of the forums. Emails often don't get sent. Earlier statements telling people to phone their support for their card issues were badly handled. Not once has Cake recognised any of the issues. If the product wasn't so good I would have probably moved on by now. Cakes back office needs a serious kick up the ass. When it comes to anything internet related they appear to be amateurs.

I think the official statement was something about certain cards/banks not allowing the transactions to go through because of a currency exchange problem. I may be wrong on that but even still that's pretty... uh... bizarre.

Hope you get it sorted, dude who looks like a dude I know. ;-)

Hi,

I live in Germany and usually I use PayPal for the Cakewalk-Shop, also in other online-shops.
It's really a comfortable and fast way to pay. Maybe it's a try worth.

Ya, man. Paypal is pretty awesome for buying stuff. Selling stuff... not so much.

I was about to say the very same thing myself

Yes PayPal works. If cake don't want to support VISA they should remove it. Regardless having a payment system online that doesn't work, and not sorting it out is quite concerning.

+1

I can just about let everything else go, but this is appalling, and if it's not sorted when the next paid upgrade comes around, then I won't be.

Sound on Sound tried to pay me for an article I wrote a few months back. Simple, right? Transfer money from UK bank to US bank. After all, we are living in the 2st century. What could possibly go wrong?

Over a month later, after multiple phone calls between Sound on Sound, me, and various banks, some of the financial behemoths to which we are beholden finally figured out how they could get a few hundred dollars from Point A to Point B.

As SOS's accountant (who's a sterling fellow) said several times, "I don't get it, it's not our money, it's not the bank's money, it's your money. Why can't they get it to you?"

It's all part of the collapse of competence that we're witnessing in all facets of society. I think I should mispell sumthing just so i can get wth the programm.

This isn't to excuse any issues happening with Cakewalk, but I feel sorry for them if they have to deal with the same banks SOS and I did.
