Excellent! Loved the FX section. Very catchy chorus as well.

Is the pro reviews forum still there on Harmony Central?
You have had some good sonar items there.

They haven't been brought over yet as part of the forum migration. Still waiting on an answer as to when they'll be moved over.

My ONLY dislike and it is "MY" opinion only:
I think I would have to agree with one of the opening responses that I did not really enjoy the "Sound" of the lead vox...it had too much verb or room sound for "my" liking...

It's not only your opinion, other people whose judgement I respect said the same thing. I'm always grateful for free consulting! If you checked out any of the subsequent songs, I'm now mixing the voice more upfront, with more presence and less ambience. It was a little weird at first to push my voice out more in the mix, but hey, it's a song...the vocals need to be the primary element in the mix. Whenever I get insecure about my voice, I just think of Bob Dylan

About the negativity...I really hate to sound like a "Gee, it works for me, what's your problem?" type of person, although Sonar really has been very reliable/stable in my studio. I know there are frustrated, savvy people with real problems in

The newest music on there, "Unpleasable" and "Ambient Rose," were both done with X2a and the production/mixing process was trouble-free.

About the negativity...I really hate to sound like a "Gee, it works for me, what's your problem?" type of person, although Sonar really has been very reliable/stable in my studio. I know there are frustrated, savvy people with real problems in addition to some who have only themselves to blame for their difficulties.

I think there is a MUCH larger issue at hand here. The problems people experience with Sonar are not unique to Sonar; just check out other forums. Another example: people talk about how RME's drivers are rock-solid, but go to their forums and you'll see threads like "CLICKS AND POPS WITH ADAT INPUT! HELP!!"

In my view, the problem is simply that the complexity of the technology has outstripped the ability of software developers to cope with it. I think you'll see more people opting for systems like Rain Computing's Rain Pak, which is a computer "ecosystem" geared to specific software, and backed by extensive support.

Anyway, back to the music! Do check out "Unpleasable" too, it seems kind of relevant right now...

Ya know, I used to pull my hair out trying to get SONAR to work correctly on my PC.  I finally gave up and bought a beafy DAW from Jim Roseberry (Purrrfect Audio).  SONAR has been running great ever since.  The original problems were due to the PC hardware NOT SONAR.

funny how that happens, huh...
Yeah, Jim built my very first DAW and It ran perfect for about four years.....not one issue....

Until the lightning strike! which fried it like my Sunday morning Becon and Egg's!
but hey, I say that is Hardly Jim's fault.......He built a very good, stable and useable machine for me...

Hey nice music really enjoyed. I was wondering about the sos column this month no go or will it stop. I also really liked the console emulation video very helpful can we get more thanks borther

Okay, got an answer for you. The column wasn't in the January issue because there was a review of Sonar X2a, and they never run my column in the same issue that has a Sonar review (I think they fear Sonar Overload). February was just one of those months where they were crammed for space and my Sonar column got left on the cutting room floor. Just as an FYI, that tends to happen about once a year but of all the DAW-specific columns, the Sonar one is hardly ever bumped, because people write in and complain :)  Apparently they either have a lot of Sonar-using readers, or Sonar users are more vocal than other DAW users. Feel free to write SOS and tell 'em you missed the Sonar column

As to videos, yes, there will be more videos. As I mentioned previously, I don't do videos just for the sake of doing videos, there has to be a compelling reason to do so. But now there are some compelling reasons...I just need to find the time. One of the chapters is already scripted, and the narration has been recorded.

Thanks for replying back brother;  I did email sos re: the column. Yea those videos really help.  the r mix is giving me some wired artifacts when i use it to clean up the vocal audio. I record sermons at my church an somtimes get a lil hiss or humm try using rmix for quick fix and get watery artifacts.  any tips

What's the weird looking effect at 2:20 that says "Loop" at the top and looks like it was pulled out of a sewer? I haven't seen that in X2... or is that an add on?
