I had a corrupted audio clip in a project and it wouldn't play.  I ultimately solved it by deleting that clip.   But when I tried to open the back ups created by versioning, it said it didn't know what program to use.   I specified sonar, but I think it used 64 bit instead of 32.   It doesn't provide a way to choose between the two.  How do I open those backup files in sonar 32??  Sonar doesn't let you open them from the file-open dialog.

Change the file extension of the backup you wish to open to .cwp

Once you've got it loaded in whatever version decides to open, save it with a name you'll recognize, close Sonar.  Load the 32 bit version of Sonar up and then open the new file.

That way you are sure, even double clicking a file that's been changed to a .cwp wont necessarily open Sonar 32 as the default although you will at least be able to navigate to it from Sonar 32 if it has been given a .cwp (project) extension.

Thanks, I'll gi've it a try.  As I said the issue is resolved, but for my future peace of mind, I will verify that I can do it.
