Allan is coming to Nashville this month. I was so tempted to pay the money and sit in with him, but it's like $1500.

Did you watch it?

Watch it? I was there. And so was Old55 (Jan)  to my left.

Anderton even tried to take my free demo copy of SONAR producer from me (which I picked up for a friend):

The past, present & future of MIDI, this vid may have already been posted here.
Fair enough, not Sonar related as such, and posted in the wrong forum.
But hey, I'm feeling dangerous ;)

Didi someone on there mention hovercats?

It's hard for me to watch due to Alan's shoe-polish-black hair, beard and eyebrows.  They give me the willies.  I mean he's older than almost everyone on that panel but he looks like he just stepped off the set of "The Bible" playing King Herrod or something.  I respect everything he's done and his contribution to popular music but...holy moly...maybe a little "Great Day" or "Just for Men".  Pookie scared, daddy:-)

I got to meet Bapu. I always love meeting forum people and finding out that they're real!

What happened after the panel discussion was also interesting, an impromptu "roundtable discussion" with Alan, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Brian Hardgroove, Lenny White, and me. I captured it on video and will post it on Harmony Central's YouTube after I've edited it.

BTW where can I get a hovercat?

I've been watching this in segments since last night. Thanks for posting and thanks to Craig for participating. As newcomer to MIDI it is very eye opening.

Cheers.

PS: I keep waiting for bapu to rush the stage strumming an Am on his Alembic until security drags him away. I'm sure it happens at some point. IT MUST!
