Back before the X series of SONAR this little ditty dropped out of my furry paws Syncope

Recorded using what ever version of SONAR I had at that time which would have probably been either SONAR XL or SONAR 2 producer.  Using all hardware synths with drums from a Yamaha SW1000xg card.  This is as recorded and mixed the only recent change was conversion to MP3 for upload to Soundcloud.

Nice Wook! I'd rather hear some better drum sounds than those keyboard drums, but it is what it is! Keep on truckin!

It was nice. I much prefer your current work. Still good. Funny thing when I started to dabble with computer music I bought the Yamaha SW60XG music card which I thought was great! The card got great points in my fave music mag Future Music and so I decided to get it. Luckily it came with the Cakewalk Express which I really liked. It was so easy in the beginning to make music with them. Sadly I stopped doing music about a year or two after my purchase because it had gotten so hard to make new original music. It was like I had used all my creativity. Also I had trouble with song structure and other music related. I did not find info that would have helped me in my endeavour. Luckily I started again and nowadays it is so much easier to find information about anything music related.

Thanks Reece, yes real drums samples would have been good but I did not own anything back then so I made do, was there anything back then?  Perhaps I will rerecord it using SD2 or AD who knows.

It does sound a bit like a "period piece", but not too shabby with your constraints.

Well, that was different.  That low synth mesmerized me.  The drums were really present and sounded good here.

Sounds fine to me, sometimes period drums work, I think you get away with it because the sequencing is actually fantastic.  I love the Asian feel...admittedly I have a bit of a fetish lol.  Those Chinese girls are really hard to fathom lol. Oh and stay away from the Vietnamese girls they are bonkers.

I like this. I would say that you have come a long way since this was recorded - but this is pretty cool.

Sorry Antti do not know how I missed your post the card was really good for it's time I later add the DS Factory 2416 with the ADAT input expansion.  Thanks for the listen and comment.

Steve partly why I posted thanks for the listen and comment.

Warren thanks for listening and commenting that low synth is a JP8080.

Ben I always appreciate your ears and your comments thanks for the complement on the sequencing.  My cousin who is a film producer in Hong Kong has a similar girl thing

Thank you Mark yes I have come along way from having know idea what's so ever to now just confused

Hey, Wook, are you wooking on anything new yet? Hope your recuperation is coming along well enough to start treating us to some new tunes pretty soon.

About this particular tune...were those software synthesizers back in 2001, or real synths?
