I've been using Sonar for a while now, but just recently gained the necessary hardware to multitrack my live drums. I've created a project template with all of my drum channels (12 of them) in a folder w/ a separate bus that I use for new projects. But I have some older projects that I would like to add my live drums to. I know about track templates, but they seem to not allow for "folder templates." Is there a way for me to save my Drum Track folder as a template to allow me to easily add the entire thing to a project? The only other way I can think of at the moment would be to create individual track templates for each mic/input and then re-add them one at a time. My setup here at home doesn't change very much, so all of the inputs are going to be consistent. I've gone through the help and searched online and I can't seem to figure out a way to do what I want. Note, I'm using X2a Producer.

In X2 if I save a Track Template with a folder it inserts with the folder.  When saving, right click over a track. Note that right clicking over the folder won't save a track template.  If the tracks are in a folder when saved they will be in a folder when inserted.

X2: If you save (create) a track template yo can select several tracks to save on that template, when choosing  INSERT FROM TRACK TEMPLATE you choose that one and you get all your tracks inserted.
I do have a 8TRK DRUMS template, I go "insert from track template", choose that template and get all my 8 tracks, armed for recording, with sends and everything.
Love X2...
Vintagevibe's suggestion should work to if you want a folder instead of separate tracks.

Save in a folder or out, as long as the tracks are selected they will all be saved together in the same template, along with all the busses, VSTs, settings etc.

Holy crap. Thank you! it never even occurred to me to highlight each individual track in the folder. I just tested it and was able to import it into another project.
