I divorced Apple in 1984, for many of the same reasons given in the Dell ad. The company's arrogance put me off then and still does today. No iphones or ipods or ipads or any other icrap for me.

Just walking into any Starbucks and observing the sea of identical 20-something clones tapping away on identical Macbooks is enough to put me off the whole Apple experience. 

I've never jumped on the Apple bandwagon.  Seems I always could find a cheaper, more versatile alternative.  I'm like Bitflipper..no iphone, ipods, ipads.

My kids whine about it every once in awhile, but they have all the electronic nonsense and it all works fine and maybe better.

When digital audio was 1st coming around I was working as an audio production mixer.  We called apple products "crashintoches".

Finally you guys came out of your hiding place glad to see I'm not left alone here on planet Mac; I thought I'm the only one out there without iToys ...

Well, personally I don't have any issues with the iToys; so far I just couldn't be bothered to spend so much money on something I don't really need. I-K apps are just what these days are asking for, but that falls also into the consumer/toy category that doesn't have to bother me.

What puts me off, though, is if a serious company like Roland comes out with a new product like the Integra and offers only an iPad app to properly control it ...

The only Apple product in our house is my wife's iPhone - which is a company freebie.

Guys we can bash apple all we want but Ipad and iPhones are what the young people want.  What put me off Apple computers is the price tag.
