sadly its badly moderated. Certainly the last few weeks has been awful. Discussion threads like these should be moved into another forum straight away for instance.
Hi Alex,

I'm sorry you feel that way and I apologize if our conversation the other day if it contributed to those feelings. I really do appreciate everything you've done for me. You have helped me a lot over the years and I do appreciate all your input.

I hope all is well, and thanks for all you do here. It is appreciated.

Sincerely,

Bub.

Hey Bub hardcore banter is never an issue, you are reasonably polite, most of my posts were intended with humour ... Cheers.

I want to say thank-you to Ryan at Cakewalk, your intervention was spot on!

I really enjoy being here; there's a spirit of mutual support and common interest that has a really positive vibe.  The guy who posted on the thread that's now locked had no interest in supporting anyone, no interest in offering support or contributing in any way.

I've been trying to work out what his motivation could possibly have been and failing.  Like Sharke I wondered whether the guy might be on the Mixcraft payroll, but I would have thought they would have more respect for you guys than that.  Or maybe I'm naive.  Certainly the guy was thriving on discord and was enjoying his notoriety immensely.  Sad really.

I hope you are able to lock this guy out permanently, especially if, as Chuckebaby says he's been here as "Conar" as well.  His brand of participation is simply not what the forum is about.

Man, talk about paranoia and accusing people of being on payrolls.

Sheesh.

Truth be told, it's nobody's fault but your own (your own being those involved in a negative way in that thread) that it turned out the way it did.

Nobody had to say anything and the guy would have went away without Cakewalk having to intervene.

So really, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I can't agree with you on that Bub, the guy came here looking to provoke a reaction and he had a talent for doing just that.

When someone's being disrespectful about something you care about it's hard to just let them go away.  He knew that and preyed on it.

He knew all the buttons to press, that's how the thread ended up stretching out to 8 pages and everyone getting sucked in.
