Nice tune. I agree that the mix is to narrow.

Good work!

Thanks for listening guitarpima! OK - noted, that's one more for "too narrow" ;-)

I might disagree on the narrow comment just because - it's a guitar tune. It's not like you need to spread it all over the place to get the job done or make room for stuff.

I might spread the R.Gtr wide L&R and put the lead in the center...but I dig the straight up the middle rock sound. To each his own.

What do you use for a slide guitar instrument?

Thanks for listening rural - that's the way I looked at it - I didn't particularly worry about putting too much way out to the "sides"...

I use Orangetree Samples Slide Lap Steel      http://www.orangetreesamples.com/slide-lap-steel
It's a great instrument. I think it's *supposed* to sound more like a country type pedal steel - but when I turn up the built in compressor (which seems to distort it in a nice way) and run it through a amp sim (I use Scuffham S-Gear) - I think it sounds great. And it's not that hard to make it sound like a "real" slide player.
(even Greg at Orangetree Samples thinks it sounds "real")

It's really good - so I'm happy to give them the free advertising (I have no affiliation with them)

John, I love this song.  Regardless of the panning, I think this is punchy and soulful coming out of my speakers.  Beautiful songwriting!

Wow - thanks for that Lynn!

Sounded good.  I think narrow or thin describes it but I don't know why.  I sat and listened to see what was catching my attention and couldn't figure it out.  Time to go get my coffee and try again.  Nice instrumental.

Hi Warren - how are you doing?
I'm not sure what to make of that "review" - but thanks for listening ;-)
