Thanks for listening rural - that's the way I looked at it - I didn't particularly worry about putting too much way out to the "sides"...

I think it's *supposed* to sound more like a country type pedal steel - but when I turn up the built in compressor (which seems to distort it in a nice way) and run it through a amp sim (I use Scuffham S-Gear) - I think it sounds great. And it's not that hard to make it sound like a "real" slide player.
(even Greg at Orangetree Samples thinks it sounds "real")
