A month ago or so I was having a problem with "popping" like on a vinyl record when I did playback(on all audio).  A few guys gave me some ideas of what to do, one pushed the latency thing and I believe that's what it ended up being.  I played with that and did a few other things which I am not sure what they are.  Duh.  I wanted to apologize for not getting up her to thank these folks for taking the time to help me.  After I posted I got that stinkin' flu and was down over 3 weeks.  it was miserable.  Anyway, if you know who you are (I know Psalmist35/Rich was one) I thank you for the time you took for me and wanted to let you know that it is fixed and the only thing I can attribute it to is latency.  The strange thing is the setting is back where I started.  So......THANKS!

Wow. A gentleman... in 2013. I guess it's still possible.

Best,

Well the important thing is that you got your health.

Pity that flu turned all your hair white! :)

Glad you are up and running without retro noise,

Bob Bone

Folks, please get the flu shot if you can afford it. Too many people are getting seriously ill and even dying from the flu these days. I got mine at the local CVS Pharmacy. Well worth it especially since my healthcare benefits paid 100% of the cost.

That's good news (the fix, not the flu).

Man this forum is a breeding ground for germs. I've taken to sucking zinc lozenges while reading it.

You do realize the government is putting microscopic thought reading chips with advanced behavior modification circuitry in those flu shots now, don't you

DaveNY, I did get a flu shot around Oct or Nov.  The VA calls and reminds you it's time.  For a veteran, you just walk in tell them your name and ss# and they stick you.  The problem is that it only has a 60% effectiveness, according to a couple different news organizations.  It's better than no effectiveness!   I get them every year because it has stopped any major infection for a lot of years.  This is the first time in probably 10 or 11 years where I've had the body aches, fever and hacking.  It's an inconvenience but they took xrays and blood and say that there is nothing major causing it, just the flu.  You are right, though, they said this is the worst flu in years.  I wouldn't have worried except that it went away, I started exercising again and in 4 days it was back with a vengeance.  I know,  CALL A WAAAHMBULANCE. LOL.  Thanks again, guys!

Sometimes, maybe because a plug in was added, or something else, or sometimes randomly, the pops will start in, and if you did as you did, adjust latency, press o, and then go back and then put it right back where it was, the pops go away away, just as you experienced.

Glad you solved it.
