I do most of my work with the console view when mixing and the sends on the console view drive me crazy! Tiny little + button, tiny little down and up arrows. If I have more than a couple of sends on a track or bus it's a nightmare to work quickly and efficiently. In the older versions you could compact the sends and have 4 visible. I miss that.

I'm putting in a feature request to have the Sends sections be scrollable with the mouse wheel. Don't know if that's possible but it would make life easier. I know screen real estate is valuable (I use 2 monitors with the console on one side and the track view on the other) but when I need to reach for a send and I have to be William Tell aiming at this little down button it slows down the process.

Personally, I still have not been able to wrap my brain around X2.  Granted I have not spent a whole lot of time using it.  I find myself getting frustrated and it really interrupts my creative flow.  I keep telling my self that I must be getting old and I'm resisting change.  Who knows!  But I agree with your comment.

I'd like to have the option to see more.

In the meantime have a look at the workround I use and see if it helps you. Personally I find it very useable, YMMV of course.

* I miss the track layers (I hate the track lanes, they make no sense to me as they are now);
* I miss the way I could organize/move tracks around in the console view (Now only possible in the track view)

Alt + click drag moves tracks/busses in the CV.
