Are there other kits I can buy to use in sessiondrummer? I have the Kontakt player 5 that I use for AbbeyRoad drums, what other drums kits software can I get for the Kontakt player? It's the free player.

I bought Andy Johns and DSF Acoustic drums through the Cakewalk store for Session Drummer 3, but they have a lot more here:

For the free Kontakt player, I don't know what's out there.

Nice one, konradh. As soon as I saw the thread title I was going to mention the AJ kit. The Andy John's kit for SD3 is very VERY nice. I picked it up for $20 on special but it's worth the full price. I wish it worked with BFD but sadly it does not.

For Session Drummer, check out http://smartloops.com/

For NI Kontakt, I'm using NI's Studio Drummer. It has 3 nice sounding kits with very flexable control of the room and close mics, EQ, panning, compression, reverb, etc.

I have purchased the Session Drummer expansion packs and although they are ok, I would recommend going for something like Steven Slate Drums, Superior Drummer, or BFD. You can get them for a good price on eBay especially if you find a dealer where you can make an offer. I'm in the process of changing a projects MIDI performed rock drums to use Steven Slate Drums (SSD4) and it's making a huge difference. Having the snare bottom, overhead, and room mic's for me is what takes it to the next level and allows for a more "organic" sound.

I have EZ Drummer which is essentially a lite version of Superior Drums.  I am extremely happy with, got it very cheap on sale at Sweetwater, and got several expansion kits on sale as well.

I use both Session Drumer and EZ Drummer.  Superior sometime.
