Hello forums,

I want to mass export all of my stems from a project, rather than do each one individually and solo the tracks, so that I can import the audio stems into a ProTools mixing session later.

Can someone tell me how to do this? I run Sonar X1 Studio. I have only MIDI tracks and VSTs.

I do not believe that there is an automatic way to do this. For a reason: How can any DAW "guess" how you would like your stems to be exported? It can't. So you need to solo tracks and busses (etc.) and export one at a time, just as you want them to be (FX on or off, etc. etc.). Prolly not what you wanted to hear...

To create multiple files during export

From the help file:

In the Source Category field, select one of the following options:
• Tracks. Choosing this option creates a separate file for each track that you select in the Source Buses/Tracks field.
• Buses. Choosing this option creates a separate file for each bus that you select in the Source Buses/Tracks field.
