If its not docked and not floating what good is it? LOL

I think you may have mis-understood John, I should have been a little clearer. The handles can be shown while docked and floating, it's just the state can't be changed without un-docking and disabling float.

@ Yorolpal - if you can't get your handles to show either, undock the PRV, disable floating, change the setting so the handles do show, then re-dock the PRV. Now every time you open a PRV the handles will show. If you want to hide them again you'll have to repeat the undock, disable floating, change setting, redock bit. Personally now I've got 'em to show I'm leaving them there.

That's the same problem we had earlier with the option to enable Grid Resolution > Follow Snap Settings in the PRV. IIRC, a window that is undocked and unfloated is in "MDA Mode". I should have remembered this.

Is there a macro for that? LOL I must say I admire how well you have handled this.

Well done FBB.

I have seen this problem under 8.5, and my PRV is always undocked and floating.

I don't know about 8.5 but in X1 you will see the problem in that configuration - undocked and floating.

To have handle selection behave as expected in X1 the PRV needs to be undocked and NOT floating. It could well be the same problem perhaps compounded by the multidock in X1.

I've had that ghosting of data ever since I can remember - I mean where velocity, or a controller will show up in another pane. But it's ghosted, not fully opaque, and since that ghosted data can't be edited, I've always just shrugged it off. It doesn't interfere with editing, and often goes away when more panes/lanes are added. But I'm saying, I've had that for several versions back in Sonar - way before X1. RB

Something else - as Brundlefly points out on this thread, CC64 really should have control handles always visible, because with them off you can't see 0 values. But otherwise, for me, control handles are worthless. I always turn them off so I can sweep through, free style, quickly and easily editing controller values - the handles get in the way of that. I just have to keep turning the dang things back on if I'm working with CC64. But grabbing individual handles to move them up and down--hehe, ridiculous. RB

I'm glad I found this thread!

This issue is still there. I couldn't edit negative values for pitch wheel data because you can only see anything (for values below zero) if handles are enabled. Of course I couldn't enable handles - because as you know, I enabled them in the menu, bu tnothing happened!

FBB's fix is still appropriate - and although it's a nuisance, it works. Like some others, I don't normally like to see the handles on controller data - but for pitch wheel data, this is the only way you can edit them in the PRV. Above zero values (for pitch wheel) are normal, so this is doubly bizarre!

Anyway - thanks a lot fastbikerboy for discovering this obscure fix!

Actually, you Can see negative values for pitch wheel data without the control handles. Zero for pitch bend is at the center of the controller pane. So bending down goes down from center, logically enough. I never have control handles on for pitch bend editing - I guarantee the data is visible without the handles. Be sure to hold down Ctrl as you try to edit/draw any kind of data. If you don't, you can only insert single lines - but with Ctrl down, you can sweep around and draw any kind of curves you once, including on pitch bend data.

browser,

You definitely cannot see anything. For positive values, everything is normal, for zero you get a black dot on the center line and for negative values you get empty screen. They are there - you can see them on the clips in Track View and the inline PRV.

I can do a screen shot - but can't be bothered right now ;-)

If you look at p696 in the X2 reference manual - that is exactly what I see. Handles show me the negative pitch wheel values (handles only with no stems), while positive (above zero) looks normal.

It's weird...
