The logitech T650 touchpad is a great replacement for a mouse. It has many gestures for win8, and also works on win7. It even has "pinch to zoom". I wonder how this will go with x2a? Looking forward to trying this out.

I picked one up last week and getting used to using it with Sonar and Windows 7.

Some of the gestures are hit and miss like click and drag and right click to get context menus but it seems to be working alright.
I was somewhat disappointed that there were actual physical buttons on the bottom feet that had to be engaged in order to do certain functions.
Since this is a first generation from Logitech I hope to expect improvements in the software implementation in future updates.

If you have the Setpoint software installed, left click is just a finger tap, right click is a finger tap near the bottom right hand corner. The right-click is a bit weird for both tap and actual click because the hot spot is about 1/2 inch diagonally in from that corner. That might be why you experience some hit and miss behaviour.

I particularly like 2 finger scroll (both up/down and sideways), 3 finger backwards/forwards (i.e. in browser, explorer etc), and 4 fingers does maximize/minimise, although in testing that I managed to wipe out my first attempt at this message :) Oh, and double-tap is same as double-click. I use that a lot.

It will be interesting to see how X2a works with the touchpad. Imagine being able to use multiple faders in console view!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread...I tried the Lenovo K5932 Touchpad and it was completely useless in SONAR. It didn't register any semantic zoom or swipe/scroll functionality. I was curious if anyone has tried the Logitech T650, and perhaps gotten better results?

if you have an iPad check out VControl.  I bought the full version and I'm digging it.  There are a few little things that I wish were better designed- like numbering the tracks (instead of 'names' of the tracks) and I also wish you could swipe through the tracks.  Otherwise, I can control most aspects of Sonar (at least while recording) with the iPad.

I've a couple of Wacom graphics tablets. The big one hasn't a touch function, but the smaller Bamboo Touch works very well as a touchpad in Windows 7 + X2a.

The only downside is that it takes up more space than a trackball and requires more hand/wrist movement, so overall is a bit slower to use. Way better than a mouse though.
