Decided to upgrade from track at a time with Alpha Tracker control surface to the Novation, which has multiple sliders and knobs. Having a devil of a time getting it to work on Win8 64bit. Sonar X2 Producer sees it, but the Novation controls don't affect Sonar at all. Have emails into Novation, but wondering if anyone has been down this road.

I still use my Novation X-Station and set Sonar X1 to use it under Cakewalk Generic Surface, Dont forget to save your presets.

Got it going now. Works pretty well for controlling basic audio tracks -- definitely the step up from AT I was looking for. Next I'll have to play around and see what, if anything, it can do with synth tracks and effects.

My troubles were actually a coincidence -- I was having a network issue while the unit was trying to update itself. Once I discovered that, things went as you would hope.

Zootsuiter:  Would you please describe the steps you took to get the ZeRO to control Sonar functions?  I have the same unit and it controls my audio interface just great, but I can't get it to recognize the start/stop/record/rewind buttons.  Don't know what I'm doing wrong.  Perhaps you can explain how you set your up and I can see what I'm missing.
