See Track 22, under track name "Guitar" is the button Im refering to that is currently set to "Clips".

When working in Audio Snap, I like to have Audio Transient selected.

Then when working on a specific Clip, make sure to click on that clip so it is selected

Another thing for me is to make sure the Smart Tool is enabled.  Its the Star at the upper left corner under "File"

Sometimes,  it is necessary to take a break and sleep. You can waken with a fresh perspective and resolve the problems.

> "It feels so strange to have gone from highly competent to all thumbs." AMEN BROTHER. 100% feel the same way. I bought X2 and am back to (being a pro in) 8.x. They changed damn near everything. Not to brag, but like many of you, I became an ultra-fast whiz in previous versions, and the new X version UI just had too many changes, and I am like a newbie again? - NO, I can't accept it. I stick with 8.X. And get much work done quickly. Hope my current DAW PC lives on forever...

#1 feature request for x3? An option to "restore 8.x GUI behavior". THEN I might buy it. Maybe.
